Cloud, higher-performance devices lift enterprise router market out of multiyear rut Boston, MASSACHUSETTS, February 28, 2014-Market research firm Infonetics Research released vendor market share and preliminary analysis from its 4th quarter 2013 (4Q13) and year-end Enterprise Routers report. ANALYST NOTE "2013 was a good year for the router market. Overall revenue grew, and buyers shifted from low-end devices to higher-performance routers," notes Matthias Machowinski, directing analyst for enterprise networks and video at Infonetics Research. "The move toward cloud services and private cloud architectures is putting new strains on enterprise WANs and forcing companies to make new investments, lifting the router market out of its multiyear rut."
